Picnic & Sunset Walk

Join us for a relaxed spring evening at Woodland Mound Park. We’ll gather at 7:00pm for a bring-your-own picnic — pack your dinner or a favorite snack, and enjoy good conversation and fresh air as we unwind together.

As the evening unfolds and the sky begins to change, we’ll take a leisurely sunset walk. The park’s paved 1-mile loop offers wide-open views, perfect for soaking in the colors of the setting sun. If there’s time and interest, we might add a short, easy hike on one of the park’s natural trails to stretch the adventure a little longer.

Sunset is at 8:30pm, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the golden hour. This is our take on girls’ night out — laid-back, outdoorsy, and a great way to connect with nature and each other.

In the event of rain, we’ll reschedule for another evening of springtime beauty. Fingers crossed for warm temperatures, sunshine, and just the right clouds for a show-stopping sunset.

  • Happy Hour on the Trail: Germantown

    Explore some place new with your new friends. We’ll hike 2 miles and stop for a little snack and chat to get to know each other, share stores, and of course enjoy some trail treats.

  • Sunset Walk & Picnic at Woodland Mound

    Join us for good company, beautiful scenery, and a walk just before sunset. We’ll meet for a picnic (bring your own picnic) at 7:00pm, chat and enjoy the fresh air. Then, we’ll walk the paved 1 mile loop around the park as the sky starts to change color. Sunset is at 8:30pm.

    We meet up in Milford on the bike path every week for a midday break to walk, relax and chat. It’s the perfect way to recharge and give yourself what you need to finish the day strong.

    Every month we plan something special. Trailblazers get a vote on what it will be. It could be anything we deem outdoor fun: a daytrip to explore new trails, kayak expedition, picnic in the park, whatever the season as has to offer!

    Time for some R&R! Join us for a weekend camping trip. FREE TO MEMBERS. Swap trail tales around the fire, access hiking trails without ever getting in the car, breathe in fresh air, and have fun with your Outdoor Sisters. There's a kayak launch nearby, with rentals available.
